General FAQ

  • How to change a delivery date with CED
    • Call the CED location supplying material, provide the project ID and/or PO number and ask for a new delivery date. This can also be done to change delivery method
  • What to do if material doesn't arrive when expected
    • Call the CED location supplying material, provide the project ID and/or PO number and ask for an update
    • If they are unable to provide you with meaningful information, reach out to your PM - Let your PM know that you’ve already called CED!
  • Where to find tracking
    • Tracking information (when available) can be found on the Procurement tab under the Purchase Order
      • Please note that each CED location is responsible for entering the tracking information
  • What if a tracking # is not present
    • If no tracking number exists, you can call CED and ask for the tracking number. 
    • Please note that for freight deliveries, it can take a full 24 hours after material has been picked up before any tracking information is provided 
  • How to schedule a delivery
    • Call the carrier responsible for making the delivery; the general customer service line will be able to assist you
    • If there is a tracking number in PowurOS, you may utilize that to look up the specific terminal responsible for delivering and coordinate a time with them
  • What to do if material arrives damaged
    • Photograph all damages, notate the damages on the packing slip and take a photo of the packing slip as well.

    • Notify your PM when the form has been completed
  • How to identify and view Split POs in PowurOS
    • Go to the Procurement tab on the project
    • Scroll down to the ‘Purchase Orders’ section to see all POs for the project 

  • If multiple POs exist, they will all be listed under this section and can be viewed to see more details including the items included on the PO. Click the ‘View’ button to see the full details of the additional PO.

  • Watch out for POs that say ‘VOID’ or ‘Returns’, as these are not active equipment purchase orders.

 

Additional Info

  • CED works directly in PowurOS to provide updated information, such as the delivery method (freight, CED truck, etc) and tracking information
  • CED is authorized to share information regarding Purchase Orders for your installs with you, but not all CED employees are aware of this arrangement (most warehouse floor employees are not aware). If you have trouble getting information, ask to speak to one of the Powur Reps
